To me it feels Patcher is talking out of his ass again, like many times he just speaks from his heart and what comes spontaneously to his mind and this time he decided he would be cool and go against the trend and be positive about Nintendo.
That said, he has some good points. Zelda truly is a sistem seller this time and the timing for NX is as good as it can be.
But he could just as likely have said that NX is gonna fail because Xbone and PS4 are already established and dominating, that big publishers only want to bet on the safe players, that Zelda is a declining franchise, that VR is the future and without it you're gonna fail and Nintendo hasn't proven yet that they're gonna invest heavily in VR etc.
