Nobody is forcing you to put the PC in the living room or play on the couch. ;) Why exactly do you need another $1,500 laptop if you have a desktop PC? If it is for mobile work, you need it anyway, so why even mention it in this context? And why does it have to be such an expensive laptop? It is no rocket science to get a DS4 properly to work with Windows, there are helpful tools that do almost all the work like DS4Windows. Or you just use a 360 or XBO controller. And of course you can lend PC games to friends. Either physical games without account binding, DRM free games (GOG.com / Humble Store) or via Steam sharing: http://www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-share-your-steam-gaming-library-with-friends-and-family/ |
Well, that's how I like to play. I don't want to sit in a separate room to play games.
Well, because I cannot move my desktop around the house. Not just work but I watch movies on the bed or in my living room on my laptop (how else do I watch game of thrones in my living room?).
DSWindows has a rating of 5/10 based on 76 reviews online. My guess is that it does not work well. And I don't like the Xbox controller.
Mate, I just want to give them a disc to play. Lots of games now use Steam authentication and Steam sharing was made to be a hassle to discourage people from sharing. You have to authorize the computers as well. It's only realistically useful if you live in the same household.
