Yup, I didn't know it had a 4k Bluray driver either... thought 4k output as just for digital content (netflix etc). Microsoft better get there marketing in order if people like us who regularly frequent gaming sites don't even know what the thing does.

This information was explained a bunch during E3 including interviews for Eurogamer and a few other sites on the UHD player.  People have even commented in post on this site on the UHD player in the X1 S.  Not sure why this is news to some of you unless you do not follow X1 news.
