It's always all about software, hardware doesn't matter at all. If you're into all the Xbox exclusives, for sure a PC is the better platform from here on out, as the PC gets every game Xbox gets plus a ton of other games you can't find anywhere else. But if your favourite games are Super Mario and Tomodachi Life, you won't be happy with a PC, even if you have a GTX 1080 Quad-SLI Setup or something. If you love to play Uncharted and Little Big Planet, PS4 is the way to go. If you prefer Candy Crush Saga, get yourself an iPhone.
What matters is always software. Not device is absolutely better for you just because of some silly feature or some more Gigaflops. On top of that, everyone has a different taste. So which platform is the best depends purely on your personal preference. It's useless to discuss that. Just choose by the games available. Don't let yourself get blinded by all the other noise.
