How many people just might have no interest in NX? Why don't Nintendo release other games on NX that make people want to buy it? Why don't they push for those third parties Wii U can't handle and get people on board with NX? 

How is it a stretch of reality? Nintendo are coming off their worst selling console and worst selling handheld (sans Virtual Boy) ever. If NX fails, they're finished as a hardware manufacturer. They very likely are pushing right now to get as many games, both first and third party, on NX.

The stretch of reality comes from everyone who buys it on Wii U is a missed NX hardware sale. Is it potentially? Sure. But it not practical at all to think that way. The odds of that are worse than winning the lottery and getting eaten by a shark in a landlocked state combined.
