I'm not so optimistic as Ubisoft, but if Nintendo did some market research and found that a lot of people who only bought Wii would be likely to buy another similar, but more advanced, console in the next 2-4 years then they might be onto something. The question is, if the family casual audience has a very extended generation time, what will Nintendo do for the 3-5 years where no one wants to buy their hardware? It's a risky model to have a 4 year in 10 sales model. It'll be interesting to watch what happens. |
If that's going to be the case, I'd just throw in the Wii brand with Nintendo's QoL business and let Miyamoto and his wacky ideas for input devices take control of it.
