Assuming we don't have to fit in entire consoles... And assuming that we can skip most PC stuff because PC doesn't have any proper generations.
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (open-world games)
- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (shooters, online multiplayer)
- Wii Sports (do I need to explain this?)
- Minecraft (it's a phenomenon)
- The Last of Us (gotta have a story somewhere on the list)
Shooters and open-world games were two things that became major hits during the 7th generation, so I think they deserve a spot on the list. Obviously online multiplayer deserves it too. Then there's two distinct phenomena that are hard to ignore, and finally something that tells a story while being an excellent game.
