I think value is subjective but I just have to point out that the $90 you suggested above is an annual fee, so if you want online or those games after a year you need to pay again and again every year.
The other point is while I don't think 900p @ 30fps is terrible, I'd rather just play most things at 1080@60.
I think you pay more upfront with PC gaming, but it evens out with all the extra charges you have to pay with consoles over time.
