Microsoft is too dependant upon buying third party exclusives. As the PS3 continues to outsell the 360 the cost for these exclusives will increase significantly. Also, the fact that they don't control the IP completely will be problematic. Bioshock, Mass Effect, and Gears of War (2) will all have sequels. Some of these will make there way to the PS3.
