Wow, such a divisive movie. I saw it a few months ago and enjoyed it, though it certainly had some glaring problems, the foremost being that it felt like 3 or 4 movies shoe-horned into one. I do think many of the OP's questions were answered by the movie, but that doesn't make the answers any more satisfying. I was puzzled by the odd vision Bruce had and felt like the Martha plot was a total reach and implausible, but I enjoyed the movie's action and honestly thought it was about as good as Age of Ultron (though Civil War was much better).
