Contemporary "inclusion" bites itself in the ass, I guess. I would bet money they made him fat purely to counter common hero body types and it backfired hard.
That being said, I think he looks cool, and honestly that's not the body type of a fat person, he doesnt have fat rolls and his pecs are filled out (muscle)
