I'm aware of that since I was born and raised in Germany. But not everything in the US has added taxes most foods (exept for foods sold in restaurants they are always taxed) and some other items are tax free. Everything sold on Amazon used to be tax free since the goods sold there used to be sold from other states but that chanced once they expanded and now they have distribution centers in almost every state.
