I guess even in 20 years when I walk around outside it will look better as in a game but with some super linear experiences or for single objects in a whole environment it may look really realistic next gen (but still not like real life).

Some screenshots of cars may look like photos of real cars next gen but playing a racing game won't look like real life next gen.

And what is it with all these gifs? What are they supposed to show us? That gifs fool our brain and don't let us see much of the flaws and as smaller the gif as more realistic a game looks?

Driveclub looks more impressive than that, in real life.

Driveclub looks great but it still has flaws which GIFs hide and it surely doesn't look like reality. In all these GIFs you don't see all the not so great looking smaller details because, well, the GIFs are small or just in low quality.

That's how our brain works, if we don't see the more unrealistic looking details then our brain just tells us "it looks real"

How am I supposed to see the flaws in the environment here:

I can also watch some Superhero movie on a small 4 inch Smartphone screen and then I won't see some of the flaws of the CGI scenes but that doesn't mean that they aren't there and that I won't see them when I see it on a 60 inch TV screen in 4k.
