I kinda feel sorry for the around 1 million UK citizens that live in spain. this exit won't be pretty.

Just beacuse the Uk leaves the EU doesn't mean it's falling apart... hell it won't surprise me if Scottland and Ireland leaves the UK and rejoin the EU.

Just because UK left the EU, doesn't mean anybody needs to be deported.

From what I've read, it looks like anybody who's lived in another EU country for more than 5 years will probably automatically gain the right to retain residency, this will be honored in both the UK and EU. Which, considering leaving will take 2 years (estimated) means that anybody who moved to Spain in past three years will be fine.

In addition to that, once the UK leaves the EU, it will be up to Spain, not the EU, what happens. EU countries retain the right (currently) to set their own immigration and border policies for non-EU citizens.

Considering that there will be negotiations between Spain and UK regarding Gibralter, the largely positive economic impact that UK citizens will have to Spain (a large number are just British pensioners living off of UK pension and spending it all in Spain), and the high cost of deportation for the already-broke Spanish Government. Nothing will happen.
