As an outsider looking in what seems in need is the EU being pulled apart and then remade, this time with eyes wide open to all bugs and glitches of EU Beta 1. Single currency seems like it was a mistake from the start (at least when each country still has its own autonomy to screw the pooch on finances), needs clear rules for joining and exiting as well as for ejecting a country. Better defined autonomy for areas a country wants to control or wants to be excluded from etc etc etc.
The worst part of a collapse is the massive amount of money that needs to be spent on bureaucracy, the effect it will have on business and finance for trade and of course all the people that get screwed by no longer having visa free work and travel.
