see thats the problem , we arent talking of 3rd or arhcaic oppression , it has evolved as society has evolved, its them getting paid less, treated worse in some ways simply becuase they are women , harrasment on the streets, not being able to do some jobs, rape culture and more, media that reinforces negative sterotypes and more

ALSO WHITE WOMEN=/=ALL women

women of color and minorities also exist, and there is such a thing as intersectionaility

care to explain in western countries that despite having the same level of experience or same position , women still earn less than their male counterparts

the WEST is way better than the developing world but there are alot of underlyring issues that are festering and being overlooked

there is deep rooted sexism and racism that has been veiled in civilites, heck you can see it in the brexit matter

The evidence that women get paid less is incredibly sketchy. There are a variety of studies on it. Some find a difference, some don't. This recent one concluded that no difference between pay for the same jobs exists: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/05/11/gender-pay-gap-does-not-exist-between-men-and-women-doing-the-sa/

Most of the studies that find a difference in pay don't break down the job descriptions very accurately or don't account for different amount of hours worked (men tend to work more hours)

As for the other issues. Yes, in some areas women get treated worse. But in some they get treated better. So you need to balance that out rather than just look at 1 side. "Harassment" is one of those issues. Yes, women have to deal with more unwanted attention. But the flip side of that is that women have to make a less effort to find a partner. Feminists never look at this. They just take 1 side of an imbalance and declare sexism. Well that's not sexism it's just difference. Plenty of men would happily get more unwanted attention if it means they had to put less energy into attracting the opposite sex. It can certainly be annoying if you're an attractive woman who gets too much attention. But it can equally be annoying if you're a man who lacks confidence and can never do well with women.

As for rape culture: Hahahahahahaha.
