The Xbox is going to be absorbed into Windows 10 and/or Windows 11. It's already happening with all the games working on both platforms. Microsofts actions speak louder than Phil Spencers words on this.

TWO new consoles are being launched within the next two years which is more than they released in the last 3. Yet nobody claims they are leaving until after we learn of the Scorpio. 

I think people just like to say the opposite of what is infront of them sometimes. 

Maybe we should find out about Scorpio before we know more about their direction. I think they are going PC but continue with hardware. They won't drop Xbox but their hardware will be Steambox like. This should enable MS to be both in the PC and Console market in a unified ecosystem.

I think it's clear MS wants a good chunk of the PC market, we just don't know how they will go about it.
