As for it being a good thing that the guy was doing his bit to fight a "would be sex offender" no, the guy is doing something to emulate a TV show "to catch a predator" in a way of stopping crime, by the same standards if someone was to put on a black bat suit and go about beating up people on the street it wouldn't be a good thing, vigilantism is a crime almost everywhere, you cannot take the law into your own hands if you think you are doing the right thing. If this guy wants to change the world he should enroll to be a cop, not endanger his own life the way he is going about it.

And in plain black and white the only actual criminal of the 2 people here was the "yotube Pedo hunter" the other guy is completely in the right to sue.

Well, fighting crime with your own hands isn't a crime per see... you as a citizen can jail someone you see commiting a crime... so you can investigate and jail someone if you want, but to expose him publicaly and divulgue footage is a crime... the footage he could handle to the police or could bring the guy to jail and deliver the evidence... Batman is vigilant because he ends up beating the criminals, etc. But IF the criminals just turned down after he say he will be taken into custody there wouldn't be a problem (or would happen) or a comic.
