FF7 couldn't have been on the N64 and carried on.... Were they about to sell you 7 cartriges or 30 N64 DD for $120? That's why Square left nintendo, Final Fantasy is the worst possible example to back up your claim. On top of that Sony's huge promotion budget helped it get where it is today. They already had the 3d demo and they weren't going to fit a 40 hour game on an N64 cartrige.
