HD consoles have absolutely nothing like Mario Galaxy. Brawl is a very unique platformer/fighter, that can't really be compared to anything but the previous 2 games in its own magic isolated genre, and it has 4 different customizable control schemes so anyone can play. Metroid Prime 3 is a FPS but with really intuitive point and shoot controls (which the HD consoles don't have). Super Paper Mario is a pretty unique game, being a classic 2-D platformer with RPG elements. In fact, due to the UNIQUE control scheme that comes with the system, I'd say the Wii has the most UNIQUE game library that takes advantage of it. When you clump together all the major first party Nintendo games as "those games" and say the HD consoles have more of them... what exactly do you mean? I really have no idea. |
Just for the record im playing the ones you mentioned, I already finished Metroid Prime 3 and Super Paper Mario, both are great games and both are revolutionary, still unlocking SSBB and playing Mario Kart Wii when Im bored. Though I never finished Super Mario Galaxy and will play Zelda later on because Im finishing Tomb Raider Anniversary and will play Bully later on.
The one problem Wii is facing right now, if you see my games most of it are first parties, my games Im currently playing with third parties are ports of ps2. BTW I finished Medal of Honor Heroes 2 good game, a PSP port.
This is the reason why I want if Ninty will ever will upstream the market, its because of this "downstreaming" why 3rd parties make casual game crap on the Wii. Many 3rd parties thinks that casual games sells on the Wii. Even now they makes casual crap and ports on the Wii even with AAA first party Nintendo titles.
end of core gaming days prediction:
E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced
E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.
