Nintendo's Goals For the NX to Succeed

While true, it has been a systemseller, 14 zelda games has sold over 3 million copies. And this is probably the most hyped Zelda game ever even more so than OoT for the N64. It's always been kind of niche, but going the way they have with the game I can totally see it getting a new audience or even recapture a lost audience. I know that is the case in my neighbourhood of friends, they havnt been Nintendo owners for years (GC, N64) but after seeing the Zelda trailer and gameplay many of them said they were first day buyers. And I can imagine that is the case for many.


What I am trying to say, I do believe Zelda will be a killer app for the NX. =)

The only problem is there are already 13 mil Nintendo fans that may not feel the need to upgrade for a game they can get already. Some of them even feel a bit burned and are taking a wait and see approach to NX. 

Unless they got a bit more in the works, I don't think this is gonna be that big payoff.
