Explanation for Lack of Female Hero in Zelda: Breath of the Wild Doesn’t Add Up

It is the Ghostbuster situation, the world didn't need an all female crew of Ghostbusters that will be copies of the male crew and do the exact same things in a similar story set in the same world. What we needed was an entirely new crew of fun/entertaining/bad ass/well developed women that were tought from the ground up as women on a new world ceated just for them. We also didn't need a female Thor but we sure as hell could've used an all new Asgardian heroine with some awesome powers that was conceived a woman and would always remain a woman.

You speak the truth. Unfortunately, actually taking the time to create a new character requires effort. I'm so sick of this silly mentality.
