I'd argue Bill lit the match that started the wildfire problems of 2008/09 in global markets.  He de-regulated too much in financial services and banking.

Oh certainly, but I wouldn't say he is the one that threw it on the fire.  Unfortunately he left it for the next guy who couldn't be bothered with it and just chucked it there anyway.
