Probably not, I mean when it comes to making sure everything is running perfectly it's going to be easier to use a PC for it than a console, there could be an odd hiccup like a controller disconnecting from a console or all of the wireless signals in the arena causing a controller to just not work at all in there, would be far safer to go with a PC build which you have complete control over with a wired pad etc.

But yeah, if that ign article is right... and it most likely is considering they were advertising the games on stage as being on X1 and Windows10 then what was shown might never be possible on the actual console versions of those games at all, really just imagine if you had a game launching for Xbox1 and Xbox360, which version are you going to show off to people? would you risk losing sales by letting people know they were looking at the version of the game running better than they'll be buying? no of course not.

Frame rate drops below the 30 FPS are a dead giveaway. No self respecting PC gamer would consider that acceptable... That and questioning any Xbox One game that performs nicely is second nature to people nowadays...

But you acknowledge that this game isn't due until next year and that current builds of it obviously aren't final, but suggest that a non locked frame rate is out of the question for this PC release?

And from wiki

Platform(s) Xbox One, Microsoft Windows

This isn't knocking an Xbox one game, it's just pondering if what was shown off on stage was the X1 version in the works or would have been more likely to have been the PC version since obviously with so much time left before launch optimization for the platforms wouldn't be complete yet so it would be far easier to get any build running on a PC while an X1 might not have handled unoptimized code as well as what was shown.

Take this as "meaningless fearmongering detracting" if you wish, or you could just read it as a question about a game launching on 2 platforms.
