Actually this data is correct and is taken from Sony's SEC Fillings where they specifically broke out gaming division performance.

Hence why I said it's taken me a long time to get all this data and now I have a definitive break down of how the gaming division did itself.

So please don't be so quick to dismiss this/

No offense but since when have they broken down those filings right to level of only gaming, when did they start doing this, previous filings although they may have been called gaming actually included a lot more? be interesting for you to link some of the filings for reading.

Sure.

So in FY2011 when they restructured they released historical data for the Game division for the past 3 years which helped fill in the gap when they previously reported gaming alongside PC & other divisions.

In this document. Page F-96 & F-97 you can find a break down for FY2009, 2010 & 2011.

In FY2012 they introduced new Network services to PSN and started to count it in a Network division, now known as Games & Network Services. They did the same thing where they released a revised document which included the addition of Network sales for the previous years.

Ultimately we now have a full break down from Sony on their Game and Network Services performance from FY1995 to FY2015.

However, what is missing is the inital investment and first year sales of FY1994 when the PlayStation first launched in Japan (4 months of data). At that time the PlayStation division was just thrown in with the electronics division and so Sony never actually released the individual Game segment performance until two years later.

If you want I can PM you all the raw data which i now 100% up to date and adjusted based on the latest figures from Sony themselves (as they restructured numerous times since 1995)
