I was on Reddit the other day, and somebody said that this move "took away their choice" and that "they don't want me to play their game". It's like....nobody is stopping you from choosing to play the game. It is readily availble to you. Sure, there's a barrier for entry ($350 for a PS4), but what's stopping you from crossing that barrier? Other than you're own stubbornness? "I bought console X, but game Y is on a different console. They're so anti-consumer! I guess they don't want my money!" It's like everybody forgot how business works. |
If sony made it so that those spider-man games were only availible as digital only to stop second hand sales then I could see that as anti-consumer. Sounds like some people who don't understand exclusives and that it's a business practice that doesn't hurt consumers. Just like Big Macs and Whopers do for fast food.
