One thing I found is never sell video games or consoles.  They simply don't pay you that much and they will always be worth something in future.  The more rare games can go for 2-4x the original cost within a few years.  I remember when the Virtual Boy went on discount and I wanted to pick one up at an outlet store.  They were selling them for 25-30 bucks I believe and now Virtual Boys go for at least 100-150 in semi decent shape. Still in box ones can go for 200-400. 

Yup, bought an n64 about 4 years ago, it and the games I got with it are already worth twice as much as I bought them for.
