If you go to Gamestop website, and look at the details for the XB1 s, in the first asterisk/exception clause I copied this from there.
[*] 4K streaming with select apps, see Xbox.com. HDR functionality available with supported games and TVs. Some apps require app provider-specific subscriptions and/or other requirements. Xbox One Backward Compatibility feature works with select Xbox 360 games, see www.xbox.com/backcompat. Xbox Live and broadband internet required for initial download of game to console. Stand sold separately I cut this quote from gearsofwar.com We are proud to announce that Gears of War 4 supports High Dynamic Range (HDR) through the Xbox One S, delivering richer, more luminous colors on HDR-ready TVs. We'll be showing Gears of War 4 running on the Xbox One S in HDR on the show floor at E3, so expect impressions on Gears of War 4 in HDR to appear throughout the week.

Oh right, the HDR function would be in some games, but that isn't an increase of resolution though, it's a seperate thing completely.
It will make them look nicer of course, but yeah in terms of resolution that isn't changed by being HDR or not.
Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive
