-=3DS=-

Kirby: Planet Robobot - blatant engine/asset reuse though still a great game

Pokemon: Sun & Moon - not a straight up copy-paste of engine/assets like OR/AS so that's good

Mario Party: Star Rush - the boxart is from an old soup can, nuff said really

Ever Oasis - new IP built from ground up that looks alright (besides chibis), this was quite the surprise I'll admit

**Mario Sports Superstars - Might be good, but definite engine/asset re-use

**Pikmin - built from ground up, but should be put back in ground

**Yoshi's Woolly World - inferior port

**Super Mario Maker - inferior port

-=Wii U=-

Paper Mario: Color Splash - you already know what I think of this

-=NX=-

None yet

Yay, I'm wrong, again! We just got 4 new 3DS games announced, and although they're certainly not top quality, they're likely going to release post NX, proving that atleast the 3DS will not only receive Nintendo made games in 2017, but even after March. Nintendo apparently isn't as committed to NX as I thought they'd be.

For 8th gen we have even less games this year with only 5 total, 4 for 3DS and 1 for Wii U, and besides Ever Oasis the games either had a direct predecessor they're leeching off and/or are of low quality. Not Nintendo's best effort to say the least. So alright I wasn't 100% correct in the previous thread as there obviously were non NX related announcements this year, and technically we don't have a date for Ever Oasis so it could be 2017, and we know Zelda BotW is releasing then (originally 2015 game tho). Still I had the right idea in the grand scheme of things, being that Nintendo has shifted their true effort from 3DS n Wii U to NX, and that 2016 is the last real year for 8th generation Nintendo.

...Well not quite. While it's clear there's less effort being put into 3DS n Wii U, that doesn't necessarily mean it's been put towards NX to great effect. That's just what I assume and hope for, because it really needs to be true otherwise Nintendo is screwed. They need to blow us away during the NX reveal with a ton of great games, that's the only acceptable reason they can have for their poor output recently, and the only way to make up for all their mistakes and disappointments this generation. Can only wait and see though. Will update this thread after the reveal, but until then, we gotta let it sink in that Ever Oasis is likely Nintendo's final 8th gen game announcement!
