Apropos, sales-shipments of Japan comparison,   demonstrated that there was almost no wii u stock by the end of March! Since then, wii u is selling constantly 4k and Nintendo is releasing  a splatoon wii u bundle again, in July! So, Production must have not  ended!

Insider reports, but it can be ascertained from public and semi-public information and simple conjecture. But like RolStoppable said, it's meaningless when specifically production has ended...the fact is Wii U will be no more by 2017.

Yep, we already know the console is fadding away, so keep production isn't a thing.
