Drivatars was a thing I guess, not sure was there really 3.9 teraflops of power behind the car AI... I'd wager there wasn't.

Collecting a few key data about a player in a racing game (best + average times per lap/race in a car of a special class, more aggressive or cautious driving style...) in a profile that an AI can mimic and transfering that small profile to other players doesn't take much processing power. Did people really believe that?

I think the hope when they unveiled it was that it would give a sort of nostalgia feeling for the original Forza on the Xbox 1... the original... Xbox... (I hate that name) but yeah, the AI you could Sub in to drive for you in that game was called a Drivatar too... but the whole thing just went over like a lead balloon with the crowd.

How could you ever hope to convince a Dev to create a game using that sort of system too? like... you can either program AI to be as good as it can be (and if it fails in some awful way you can always update that AI and patch the game from XBlive later) or you can use cloud power to stream the AI directly into your characters in game, using cloud servers, bandwidth and requiring the console be always connnected to the net to use it... I mean it's just an impossible sell to both customer and developer, but I guess this was all at a time when the X1 would have been always online regardless.
