Have to say that both Skyward Sword and Breath of the Wild had a similar announcement. IN both trailers, the first thing to show was Link abilities, like rolling bombs or climbing.
Of coursem BotW was way more exciting...
Both had a demo with a tutorial area (Faron Woods - Great Plateau) without any NPC's, Towns or dungeon.
