Instead of fixating on what he used to kill those people, why not go after the roots of the whole problem? The why behind the attack and how to prevent events like the orlando club from happening again. Going after legal guns will not serve anything other than a distraction. Why? Because if he was denied any access to guns, there's still more weapons (some even more dangerous than guns) out there like bombs, deadly gases. poisons, etc. Disarming civilians or the general populace doesn't get rid of the motivation and will behind an attack like that, they will find other ways if they're determined to.
