He's right though. The only game I have where the Gamepad is really needed and adds something to the experience is Super Mario Maker, because with that game the Gamepad is actually the thing you're looking at. I do use it often though, for off-tv play. A neat feature, I probably played more hours off-tv than on tv. However when I do use the tv, I nearly always use the Pro Controller. Unless I'm too lazy to get it and I happen to already hold the Gamepad.
