I thought you love to buy homes, that's why pretty much every US-American has an own home with mid 20 or something.  Some hundred thousand debt, who cares! (I think it's just easier in USA since homes are build cheaper there compared to where I live. We have massive walls between the single rooms and stuff  like that. So no cheap pressboard but massive stones which drives costs up )

It depends on where you live. You can get crazy homes in some areas for the same price as a small apartment in others lol

Personally I'm just sticking with a 2 bedroom apt atm, works for me :)

I think in USA it depends how much the  whole property costs but the house on the property can be build for a very good price if you don't want to invest much in it. Here in Germany you already know that even if you find a cheap property, you still have to pay a lot to build the house on it.

There is a reason why homes are so big on average in USA. You can build cheaper there and will still get a house which will be bigger than the average house in Germany.

But back to topic now.
