Maybe normal compared to Nintendo's other wonky controllers, but it was still designed mainly with Nintendo's own games in mind. That button layout feels great for Smash and Mario Kart. Not so much much for fighting games along with the d-pad. I want a controller where none of it's quirks imposes on any particular game or genre in a profound way. |
It's a normal standard controller, you not liking doesn't change that, all controllers of the time had their own design.
