Yes but that makes comparing these games almost impossible doesn't it :-p? Take the newly announced God of War game for example, that has a completely new feel and very different gameplay, so can we count that one in the future as something new? Or is it disqualified because it stil has God of War in the name? What about the new Red Dead game wich will probably be announced soon? Different name and maybe a lot of differences in gameplay, does that one count?

I think your getting confused with how a game plays to what an IP is. Resident Evil 1 is different to Resident Evil 6 but they are the same IP. The new GoW is different but it's still the same IP as the original. So to answer you question of course GoW Red Dead isn't new IPs. Did anybody suggest they were?
