Activision's licensing agreement for Spider-Man games (and X-Men/Deadpool as well) ended back in 2014 so Marvel found themselves without a publisher for the franchise so I guess that's where Sony proposed to step in. Insomniac needs to play its cards really well here because this game succeeding could lead to a really bright future for the company. Being the official developer for Marvel games could mean massive $$$. |
