But one criticism of the plot was that for people unfamiliar with Warcraft it appeared that there needed to be a fair bit of prior knowledge in order to engage.
Looks like opening weekend in the USA will be around $25 million, which is a few million more than initially predicted, but not so much more that it is looking like an unexpected hit. It will avoid flop status (in the USA), but that's as far as it goes. I think for a $160 million budget film the box office in the USA will be disappointing, but worldwide it will do fine.
