I dont think that was what people were complaining about. It was about companies announcing games too early.

Either way, they were going to complain and complain loudly.  That's the atmosphere with gaming and why E3 ends up being a drag every year.  Not because of the games but because of the unrelenting and often contradictory complaining.

A game is announced:  "WTF they announce games too early!  The hype ruins it!  The hype!"

A game is not announced:  "WTF I want blockbuster announcements, this conference blows, 2/10."

Early gameplay is shown:  "WTF the shadows are different!  THE SHADOWS ARE DIFFERENT!!"

Cinematic trailer is shown instead:  "WTF I want gameplay!!"

It's always the same.

And my personal favorite: "WTF they're showing a game that I'm not personally interested in!  How dare they not tailor this conference to me!"

Actually, I thought EA's "behind the scenes" approach, which its mix of elements, was meant to counter that, but it won't.

Well I knew there wouldnt be much for me in this conference. I havent bought an EA game since like Dead Space 3 or something. They just rarely appeal to me anymore. Mass Effect Andromeda is the only thing I want from them. I still think they could do better in their conferences though. Thery are just boring.
