Wasn't there an Xbox that got the RRoD at a Microsoft event a few months back, and also, wasn't there a thread here about someone wanting to review GTAIV but the 360 got RRoD?

While I've heard software updates being an issue for a few PS3 owners, I haven't heard stories that their PS3 did in fact break down completely as a result.

There was an Rrod atGDC (i know because I started the thread on it).  Do you have some sort of evidence that that was one of the relatively new 360's?  Look at my previous post for examples of PS3's shutting down, some of which did so after Sony's relatively short warranty period............
