In the future i will be seeb as a classic fantasy movie, revered by many people all over the world. Totally amazing that it's so popular in China, makes it guaranteed that we will get to enjoy sequels. |
I doubt that. Too many people, including Warcraft fans, who wanted to like this and for it to be a great movie didn't like it. Perhaps with time people will think of it more fondly, but I don;t see it ever being regarded as a classic.
But with profit from the box office pretty much guaranteed a sequel is a sure bet. And that means a chance to make a movie that will be seen a fantasy classic, and break the video game curse.
Warcraft hasn't broken the critics curse, and it isn't the first big budget video game adaptation to be profitable. But it could be the first big budget franchise to make a successful sequel.
