Bullshit, they can only ship what retailers order. That argument might hold for the first month or so when retailers over estimate demand but they certainly won't continue that way for months post release.

Right that's why Uncharted 3 was oversihpped by something like 3:1 first week, or Mario Maker was overshipped by almost 2:1 first month, lol.

But you know what, i'm bored right now, trusth me or not i don't care, is a fact MS 90% of times overship, and those above were just some example of how a game can be overshipped.

This, and if you overship 3:1 or even 2:1 ratios chances are that it will take a couple of months to sell all of that, even with good legs, also Halo 5 released in the holiday season so chances are it was very much overshipped in November/December.

Let's put it this way: after holiday season 1 mil overshipped is huge because the sales crash very hard in the first quarter so if a game sells apporox. 25,000 a week it would take 40 weeks to sell 1 mil, approx. 50,000 a week would take 20 weeks. How many games sell consistently in the 40,000 - 50,000 per week in retail, I count two: COD:BO3 and GTA V.

And how much is 20 weeks? over 4,5 months

So has Halo 5 sold 5 mil? I have no idea.
