I won't compare videogames to anime because there's so much more potential in the medium than that. Most of the best anime pales in comparison to the best cinema from America, France, Britain, India, etc. But that's not even the point. Games are not movies. Let's not try to make them into movies but instead, challenge the way we look at media itself.
My entire point is that we should expect more from this medium yet we are continually fed bullshit and take it with a smile. It's high time we actually asked for more from videogames to meet the rest of media.
