Well, I don't think that Zune was phased out because of smart phones to be honest. The point I was illustrating is that these are products they have or still continue attempting to support but are general failures (relative to the size, scope, and financial advantage Microsoft has). im aware that I.E. Is replaced by edge. It was rebranded for a reason though, the fact that people were using chrome and Firefox over a pre installed browser is insane. Skype is a ms product now, but was not conceived by ms. They bought it after it was popular. Phones have been around a long time. Never been a top selling brand, even with Nokia. Cant speak too much about Bing, but it doesn't appear to have had any affect on Google.

Weirdly enough EDGE didn't replace IE though, Windows10 still has a fully functional (as functional as it ever was) version of Internet Explorer laying around too, it just doesn't show up by default but it's there installed taking up space for you, just ask cortana if you don't believe me :D
Cortana never lies.... Except when she goes rampant
