What thehell are you talking about?  All my 106 ps4games are on disc, they just get installed on the ps4 not downloaded.

Games that needs huge patches to work i dont buy quz bambambam.

My ps4 is not connected online

Oh I know you don't need to be online to play as I've used that tactic to avoid friends when playing a single player game lol

I'd be curious to see just how common this practice is, but it generally seems as if the great majority of AAA games that install from the discs initially are woefully incomplete or unstable, and so require large patches. I cannot remember the last time I got to simply play a dang game after installation without immediate updates, and they're generally large ones at that.

Therein lies the probably, as while you can reinstall games with your discs you cannot re-patch them if the service isn't offered. Likewise, the PS4 only allows you to back up your hard drive and swap it, but does not allow game data to be saved to an external hard drive. For that reason patched, stable games could theoretically disappear in the future, replaced by whatever version shipped on the disc.

Personally, I don't think this will ever be a problem; online support is becoming more common, not less, and there's generally ways around these issues with time. If Sony relaxed their rules regarding external hard drives, for instance, these patches could be acquired easily from other hosts in the future. My only point was that it is similar to Blizzard, Steam and really most games in that the gaming world is becoming very reliant on online support to actually maintain their games. That said, I don't see such support waning, and I feel fairly confident in assuring you that you'll have some option for the WoWs, Diablo 3s, and Overwatches of the world far beyond the point that you'd actually care heh

Seriously, people still play Diablo I, Diablo II and Warcraft 3 still receive patches, and private servers have sustained just about every MMO that ever existed. I don't think the threat of them suddenly disappearing is a realistic problem lol

After all, the industry is clearly trending towards digital-only (the PC market is pretty much there already), so it's an odd thing to hold against at a game. I admit it's irritating when a game is online-only, but that's hardly been a problem for the good ones in the past. I'd wager Blizzard would certainly allow offline play on D3 should they end support, as that's just their style; I'm not aware of any company that supports their games for longer than Blizzard.

Clearly you didn't read what i said, western triple a games mostly suck monkey poe(battleshit, call of shitty, fallout, assasins creed, and so many more.
