And I think with more globalism, the prevelance of the internet, and many other things, Western games could start doing better in Japan and make more inroads, leading to more and more medium-sized Western games going to Japan.

We don't see many games go there except for major ones, since they might only be the ones to do well. However, what if some mid-major American and European games (like racers) end up doing well, starting a chain reaction to bring more popularity to Western fare in the land of the rising sun.

There's no way OB could outdo HSG5. OB is launching on a system with (when they both launch), about 40% of the userbase. However, Oblivion could do over 100k or more, and become a very big succuess, paving the way for more WRPGs and other fare in Japan.
