Pop Music in general is probably the most overyhyped -non deserving- thing ever.
Other stuff that comes to mind that I personally (opinion) find nondeserving of their hype...
Apple products in general.
Jordans
Ray Bans
Smart Watches in general
Zombie films
Tim Burton films
Avatar
Evangelion and Death Note.
And League of Legends
