The Tricorder. It never hit the market because it doesn't actually work, but three years ago it was proclaimed to revolutionize health care as we know it. The overhyping of Fable doesn't compare to the promises being made of the Tricorder. This thing was supposed to monitor cancer cells in real-time, among other things that are now being called "science fantasy".
