Apple products aren't overhyped. Not even the Apple Watch. (come on, everyone knew it would be stupid) But Apple products are fantastic. They are perfect for what they are meant to do, outside of a few SD-card blemishes. And Apple products don't have a back button because their solution is superior, dude.

And also, they look astronomically better than anything else on the market both hardware-wise and software-wise. I know it sounds crazy to think that people, you know, appreciate things that look good, but they do. I know it's crazy to think that people would pay a premium to buy something that looks better than something cheaper and less attractive, but the fashion industry exists for a reason. Art exists for a reason. It's so silly to me when people argue that Apple products are overpriced because you can buy hardware of equal specifications at a cheaper price.

Sure, but those products are ugly.

And people will pay to not have ugly stuff, especially when the functionality of that product is top of the line anyway. Apple products look good and work exceptionally well for their intended purposes. They work within a unified family of devices, and with that comes convenience. They have an excellent (mobile) marketplace. Because so many people own Apple products, it becomes a more convenient thing to own when communicating with those people.

If you want a computer or tablet or phone that can do quantum computing or you want a very specific technology tailored to a very specified goal (or a gaming rig), maybe don't but an Apple product.

But most people just want something that works well and looks good, and Apple products work very well while looking very very good. So no duh, people are going to buy it.
